Our Fall "Welcome Back" Bar-B-Q & Bake Sale
We have been having our "Welcome Back" BBQ for the past five years. Our goal is to reach out to the surrounding community - those who pass by our doors through the year and who do not know us. We offer free hamburgers and hot dogs, with all the fixin's, as well as soft drinks and coffee and, of course, greetings and fellowship. This year we had exceptionally good weather (Some years it rains and we have to be inside.), so we were able to set up on our grounds. We had the best turnout ever this year: At least half of those who stopped by were from the surrounding community!
Also this year, we added something new: A bake table, where homemade goodies were offered up for sale. We had begin doing this at our annual rummage sale in June and decided to extend the idea. The baked goods were nearly sold out!
